Our accounting firms in Mid Missouri are excited to continue our Get to Know Our Team blog series this week with Jennifer Eastep, Katie Swanson, and Kent Lang. Wilson Toellner CPA feels it is important to get to know the people you are trusting to handle your business accounting issues. We have had the pleasure of getting to know many clients. Jenny Eastep brings several years of experience in tax, accounting, and payroll to her role as a staff accountant at Wilson Toellner, CPA.
Jenny has experience with a variety of different software programs, including QuickBooks, Creative Solutions, and Pensoft. She enjoys preparing financial statements and working on complex individual and business tax returns. Jenny is also knowledgeable in the areas of sales tax and payroll tax reporting. She has experience with a variety of companies from medical billing to manufacturing.
Jenny received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and her Masters Degree with an emphasis on taxation from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Jenny is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
In her spare time, Jenny enjoys spending time with family, baking and decorating cakes, and working on craft projects.

Katie Swanson brings over ten years of experience in accounting and finance in multiple industries in public and private companies. She provides full-service outsourced accounting including month-end close, financial statement preparation, annual budget preparation, monthly budget to actual analysis, and forecasting. Katie partners with clients to use financial data to make sound business decisions.
Katie graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Finance degree from Missouri State University. She continued her education at Southeastern Louisiana University completing an additional 24 hours in Accounting.
Katie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Her activities outside of work focus around family, health and fitness, and being outdoors.

Kent Lang brings nearly 30 years of tax, accounting and auditing experience to Wilson Toellner, CPA. His primary emphasis is working with individuals and small businesses such as agricultural, trucking and construction industries. Kent also enjoys the challenge of lowering your tax liability to the legal minimum. He takes personal pride in his work and treats his client’s tax return as if it was his own.
Kent earned his Bachelors of Science degree in accounting from Central Missouri State University and has been practicing as a Certified Public Accountant since 1991. He joined Wilson Toellner, CPA in 1988.
Kent is a member of a number of Sedalia organizations. He is currently the treasurer of the Smith Cotton Athletic Booster Club, the Smith Cotton baseball team, and the Sedalia Jr. Legion baseball team. Kent is also president of the Sedalia Runners Club and runs daily. Kent also enjoys volunteering his time to be the public address announcer for local baseball and softball games. He and his wife have three children, all of whom are currently in college.
